The 2013 Kenny Lipp's Annual Cops, Kids 'n Firefighters Golf Outing
The first event of the calendar year will be the Kenny Lipps Annual Cops, Kids 'n Firefighters Golf Outing sponsored by the Delhi Skirt Game.  This event was started in 2001 and ironically it was started by one of the original founders of the Skirt Game, Mr. Ken Lipps.  Ken was a full time member of the Delhi Fire Department until his retirement in the mid-90’s.  Ken wanted to find a way for the organization to raise some additional money outside of the Skirt Game itself and he loved to golf, so why not?  




The golf outing is the first Saturday in May (Derby Day) and is held at the Hillview Golf Course on Wesselman Road.  Here is a link to the Hillview web site for directions:   http://www.hillviewgolfcourse.com/location.asp
The golf outing is a fun event and is affordable as golf outings go.  The event starts with hotdogs and snacks before tee-off and at the turn.  The event ends with a dinner at the golf course shelter.  The entry fee per golfer is $75 and also includes a closest to the pin contest with cash prizes.  There will also be various games of skill throughout the day.

All funds raised from this event will go exclusively for the Delhi Kids, Cops 'n Firefighters program.  This program was started in 2009 and the 2012 event helped 56 families with 153 kids.  This event was held at Western Hills Target.  Food baskets were also provided to the families and they were obtained from one of our major sponsors, Delhi Biggs.  For more information on this event you can go to: Information concerning Kids, Cops 'n Firefighters.

Anone interested in helping to plan this event should attend a Delhi Skirt Game Meeting.  Meetings are held the 4th Thursday of every month at the Delhi Firehouse on Neeb Road.  Meetings start at 7:30.  You can also email: golfouting@delhiskirtgame.org for more information or to reserve your spot at the event.

This years Golf outing will be on Saturday May 4th at Hillview Golf Course.  Starting time is 1:00 pm with a shot gun start.  Please get a foursome together and support the Kids, Cops 'n Firefighters Program in Delhi.
