The Delhi Skirt Game Friday August 6th

The Delhi Skirt Game will be held on Friday August 6th at the Delhi Towns
hip Park from 5 until 11:30 PM. As always, there will be plenty to eat and drink and you will be entertained by the Men dressed in Skirts as well as the annual fireworks (provided this year by Queen City Pyro Productions (Dave Klawitter). Come early for the game. Stay for the Fireworks. The fireworks this year are going to be spectacular. The show is almost 15 minutes long and will be synchronized to music. After the game and prior to the fireworks, we will have a DJ, Hartwick Productions who will be playing your faviorite tunes and will also feature Karaoke. Please mark your calendar. This is the 33rd year that the men of Delhi have donned their Skirts for this charity event and each year the event gets more and more entertaining. PARKING FOR THE SKIRT GAME
There will be limited parking in the Delhi Township Park this year due to the construction of the new entrance next to McDonalds off Delhi Pike. Early arrivals can park at the old Clearview Tavern on Foley Road next to the Park and we have room for about 250 cars in the old Tot Lot and next to the Lodge using the Foley Road entrance to the park. Handicap parking is also available, but you must come early. Once that parking is gone, the Foley Road entrance will be closed and no other parking will be available in Delhi Park
HOWEVER, THERE IS A SOLUTION!!! Thanks to Charter Bus Service and Jeff Klug, we will have a shuttle service running from 3 locations where we have permission to park. Those locations are as follows:
Delhi Plaza - (Next to KFC on Delhi Pike near Greenwell). Cars can park in front of the old Central Hardware building on the east end of the lot. Please do not park near the Mexican Restaurant. The Shuttle bus will pick up in the lot near the entrance by KFC near Delhi Pike. Signs will be posted.
Delfair Shopping Center - (Behind Walgreens and in Front of Thriftway)
Parking is available in Front of the Old Thriftway. Please park only in this area so you do not disrupt other businesses that are open that night. The Shuttle Bus will pick-up in front of the Old Thriftway Building. Signs will be posted.
Shiloh United Methodist Church - (Corner of Foley and Anderson Ferry across from Delhi Middle School) This entire lot is available for parking. The shuttle bus will enter the back parking lot off Anderson Ferry. The Shuttle Bus will pick-up at the entrance to the new addition behind the church. The bus will then proceed around the church to the front parking lot. The Shuttle Bus will then pick-up passengers at the exit to the lot just before exiting onto Foley Road. Signs will be posted.
After these pick-ups the bus will proceed to the old Clearview location which will be the drop off point for the Skirt Game and you can either use the walking trail to get to the Skirt Game or there will be two golf carts shuttling those passengers who cannot or do not want to walk.
Shuttle Bus Times: There will be two buses running starting at 6:00 and making their last run to the Park at around 9:00. The buses will take approximately 20 minutes to make the entire loop, so a bus should show up at each parking location every 10 to 15 minutes. The buses will begin running shortly following the fireworks display and will run until all people are gone or 11:30 whichever occurs first. Food and drink booths will remain open following fireworks if there are people who would like to avoid the rush to the buses and their cars.

Concerts in the Park - The Delhi Skirt Game Committee is again supporting the Delhi Civic Association by cooking your westside favorites at the 3 Concerts in the Park this year. The final concert of the summer will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd from 6:30 to 9:30 at the Delhi Township Park. The band that night is Chuck Brisbin and the Tuna Project
This night is also National Night Out. So come and meet your Delhi Police and Fire Departments and see all of their equipment on display.

These donations can be in the form of Cash with checks made out to: The Delhi Skirt Game or gifts that can be used as door prizes. We at the Delhi Skirt Game Committee also welcome anyone who wants to become a member of the Committee and to work on any of these fundraising events. The money all stays in Delhi and helps our neighbors who are having financial issues and need assistance.
